I helped to convert the serial version of the blood damage estimation to an objective function callable from XNS and also running in MPI environments. This was on-going work when I left CATS. The serial version of the blood damage estimation code is available atMar 2010 - May 2010 HiWi working on objective functions for shape optimization svn co https://svn.rwth-aachen.de/repos/mp985962_bdtracer(login data required, contact Markus).

I integrated the optimization code BOBYQA (published by M.J.D. Powell in January 2009) into the optimization driver of XNS. You can find notes on the usage in the "Bugs and Features report" (Jan 2010 - Mar 2010 HiWi working on gradient-free optimization methods svn checkout svn://hydra/baf, contact Mike for login data).

My task was to develop an interface between Open Flipper and the XNS shape optimization framework. Open Flipper uses the Object File format, so you need to use the mixd2off converter. There are also some notes on Installing OpenFlipper at the RZ-Cluster.Jan 2009 - Dec 2009 HiWi working on geometry modelling with Open Flipper

- I am now writing my Computer Science diploma thesis at SC. The thesis deals with parallelization of the AD version of the XNS optimization framework.
