International Research Training Group IRTG 2379 "Modern Inverse Problems" (MỊP) with University of Texas at Austin will be funded by the German Research Association DFG over the next four and a half years. Thirteen new doctoral positions will be filled by October 2018, including two in planned projects at CATS: (P1) Novel Stabilized Finite-Element Methods for Microstructured and Complex Fluids, PI Marek Behr, co-PI Leszek Demkowicz, and (P4) Modeling and Simulation of Solidification with Isogeometric Interface Tracking Methods, PI Stefanie Elgeti, co-PI Thomas J.R.
