Doctoral examination Violeta Karyofylli

On March 2, Violeta Karyofylli successfully defended her doctoral thesis. The title of the public lecture was "Uncertainty Quantification for Groundwater Contaminant Transport". The thesis was titled "Space-Time Finite Element Methods for Production Engineering Applications". The reviewers were Prof. Marek Behr (RWTH Aachen) and Prof. Harald van Brummelen (TU Eindhoven), while the committee was chaired by Prof. Kai-Uwe Schröder (SLA at RWTH Aachen). Violeta will continue her scientific career as a postdoctoral researcher at the Oden Institute at University of Texas at Austin, in the PECOS center. Congratulations, Violeta!
