Über mich

Mein Weg zur Simulationstechnik im Allgemeinen und zum Lehrstuhl CATS im Speziellen führte über ein Studium des Maschinenbaus mit der Vertiefungsrichtung "Fertigungstechnik für Mikrosysteme". Im Jahr 2011 habe ich meine Promotion zum Thema "Free-Surface Flows in Shape Optimization of Extrusion Dies" abgeschlossen. Im Jahr 2016 folgte meine Habilitation mit dem Titel "CAD-Conforming Finite Element Methods in Engineering Design". Im Oktober 2019 habe ich die Professur für Leichtbau an der TU Wien übernommen. Die Arbeitsgruppe Produktionstechnik am CATS werde ich noch einige Jahre weiterführen.

Von 2012-2015 war ich Mitglied der GAMM-Junioren, wobei ich von 2013-2014 als zweite stellvertretende Sprecherin fungierte. Aktuelle bin ich Co-Chairperson der ECCOMAS Young Investigator Group.

Forschung

Mein aktuelles Forschungsfeld ist die Simulation und numerische Auslegung im Bereich urformenden Fertigungsverfahren. Mathematisch gesehen handelt es sich hierbei um ein inverses Problem. Gemeinsam mit meiner Arbeitsgruppe habe ich Anwendungen aus dem Bereich Kunststoffprofilextrusion, Kunststoffspritzguss sowie Alu-Druckguss behandelt. Unsere Aufgaben sind hierbei die Simulation aller Prozessschritte von Füllung über Erstarrung bis hin zur Bestimmung von Verzug und Eigenspannungen. Ferner sind diese Simulationen Basis für die numerische Optimierung der Kavität und der Kühlkanäle.

Die numerische Methoden welche wir anwenden kommen aus dem Bereich:

  • Strömungen mit freien Oberflächen,
  • Gitterverformungsalgorithmen,
  • nicht-Newtonsche Materialmodelle,
  • Spline-basierte Finite-Elemente-Methoden,
  • Formoptimierung.
